I'm Barbara Rainey and my greatest claim to fame has been, and is, being the mom of my six. Motherhood has been a journey of discovery; as I look at them now I wonder how they turned out so well with all the mistakes I made. I am finding these new empty nest years really fun! Finally having time for art, writing, time with my hubby, gardening, decorating and reconnecting with girlfriends has been an unexpected joy. Dennis and I spend a lot of time on airplanes with FamilyLife and to visit our kids and 14 grandkids. We haven't slowed down a bit and I love it! |

I’m Dannah Gresh. My proudest recent accomplishment was breaking my tennis racket in two on a mean ground-stroke Aug. 29, 2009! You see, before giving birth to two children and adopting a third, I worked out five times a week. Nearly 20 years later, my three teen and college-aged kids have finally decided they can spare me for tennis lessons and I’m lovin’ it When I’m not playing tennis, carpooling my girls or helping my husband Bob lead the Christian high school he founded, I write books to equip teens and tweens to live lives of purity. And I take plenty of walks with my wonder-dog, Stormie the labradoodle, who is my constant writing companion. | |

Janel Breitenstein here. My rather wonderful husband and I are missionary staff with FamilyLife. I've got three sweet, though not always obedient, kids and a dog, the oldest of whom is almost four (okay, the dog's five). So I blog in between diaper changes, reading stories, and washing a whole lot of laundry. I work one day a week with FamilyLife Publishing (thanks, Mom!), developing new products. I enjoy nearly anything creative, and love God's kingd... I need to go. Someone is dumping something with a lot of pieces. |

Jennifer Dyer, that's me! By day I spend my time solving carpet crimes, patching boo-boos and carpooling for hours with my 100-pound Labrador sidekick. By night, I read princess stories, fold laundry and wonder where I put whatever it was I was looking for five minutes ago. Before I was awarded the prize of motherhood, I worked as a speech-language pathologist. I live with my superhero hubby of 8 years, my two young daughters, and a dog and cat that are plotting to take over the kitchen. |

Julia DesCarpentrie, , aka: mama, hey honey, Jewel, MOMEEEE, yo sis, oh mother, Julie... depends on who is needing me. I answer to the love of my life (who also just happens to be my husband), an 8 year old DQ (drama queen, that is), and two very rambunctious superheroes, ages 7 and 5. Several years ago we handed our safe little family over to God and told Him to take control. He buckled us in on an adventurous rollercoaster that rocketed us to China to adopt our youngest child, spun us closer to His heart, and plunged us into a wild ride in ministry with Hope for Orphans. |

I am Karen Loritts. So far I have logged 319,680 hours as a wife to a wonderful husband and 302,400 hours as the mother of four (now-adult) children, with only a miserly fraction of the time being the fun MiMi to five energetic, talkative grandchildren who are spread over 1,400 miles from my home! And I can't forget my "grandpuppy" who belongs to my youngest--the only single in the family who insists on that title! Teacher, pastor's wife, community volunteer, lunch date for girlfriends and golf cart chauffeur for my golf-enthusiast hubby, seems to get wedged into my ever expanding to-do list. Life is so fun at this stage! |

My name is Sabrina Beasley, but nowadays I refer to myself as "Sleepless in Suburbia." By day, I'm an interpreter of the complex language "baby" (also known as "banguage") and by night, my husband, David, and I are experts at the rocking chair, where we dream (with our eyes open) of future days when we won't be watching the sunrise from the nursery window. Before receiving the honor of being a stay-at-home mom to my son Benjamin, I was a writer and editor for FamilyLife for five years. I now use my FamilyLife skills in conjuction with prayer to do my very best at raising a man of God. |

Susan Yates--I think I'm the oldest of the bloggers but in my imagination, I'm really 38! When I take care of my daughter's five little ones it feels like it's me all over again. We had 5 kids in 7 years (including twins) and still feel the effects of 10 years of not sleeping through the night. Today our five are all married and we have 12 grandchildren with 3 more on the way. I love: being a pastor's wife, hanging out with the next generation, writing (especially with Barbara!), speaking, dogs, horses, hiking, Tarheel basketball, cooking less and eating more chocolate. |

Tracey Lanter, MomBlog Editor. Before motherhood, I was a career woman in wealthy Palm Beach, now I live on a little ranch experiencing the "simple life" with my tomboy daughter (15), walking-party son (12), Mr. Fix-It husband, a wandering dog, two hungry horses and some barn kittens. After years of being Supermom and #1 volunteer, I now enjoy allowing God to direct my daily steps and guide my volunteer hands. If I had my way I'd keep my children (and hubby) at home and fill the days with fun and memory-making--but alas, real life must occur and I fit those moments in wherever I can. |
